Mele Havili

Partner

Forms companies and writes the contracts they live by.

Mele grew up in her parents’ catering kitchen, folding boxes before school and listening to her father argue with suppliers on the phone. She went to law school meaning to be a tax lawyer and came out wanting to sit on the owner’s side of the table.

She started the firm with Eleni to offer what her parents never had: a business lawyer who names the fee first and answers the phone. She handles formations and contracts, and reads every lease as if her family had to sign it.

Working with Mele

Mele’s first meeting is mostly questions: who owns what, who signs, where the money goes. She writes the answers down and sends them back to you, so you can correct her before any drafting starts.

She prefers video for meetings and the phone for quick questions. Owners on a deadline can send a contract in the morning and expect her notes the same week.

A short first call, then the fee in writing.
